Up for sale is Marvel Secret Wars 8, CGC graded at 9.4 with white pages, featuring the origin of Spider-Man's black suit (which later becomes Venom). It seems like every time a hero gets a new costume, they do an homage to this cover. The artist (Mike Zeck) does a great job capturing Spider-Man's mood on this cover, which is especially hard to do since the mask is covering his entire face. But it's clear that Spidey is realizing how much better he looks in this suit than he does in the red and blue footie pajamas he had been wearing up until then. Next time I try on clothes and find something I really like, I'm striking this pose. There are some minor spoilers in this next section, so if you haven't already seen Spider-Man: No Way Home, skip to the end.
Also, what the hell are you doing with your life? Go see the movie, already!
Anyway, if you HAVE seen it, you know that a piece of the Venom symbiote has officially entered the MCU, which means it is only a matter of time before we see the black suit on the big screen. If a trailer hits and we see Tom Holland swinging around in this outfit, this book is going to go nuts. I don't actually try on clothes very often. They don't carry Lizzy Borden t-shirts at Kohl's, you know? So if I do find myself trying on clothes, it's probably because I have to be at a funeral tomorrow and just found out my suit doesn't fit anymore, and I probably won't be in a mood to strike poses.
